Cancer Center

The Trident Cancer Center provides the support and encouragement patients need to make informed decisions about every aspect of their cancer management, including their psychological and spiritual needs. Our diagnostic centers are strategically located around the Lowcountry for convenience, while the majority of our patients' cancer care is provided on the campus of Trident Medical Center to maintain speed and continuity. Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology are geographically convenient on campus. In addition, Pathology, Radiology, Pharmacy Services, Tumor Registry as well as the Inpatient Oncology unit are centrally located, fostering quick consultation and the most comprehensive approach to cancer care.

Diabetes Care

The Diabetes Self Management Program establishes and coordinates, with assistance from the medical director, the clinical teaching/learning aspects of the diabetes program for patients and their families.

Trident Senior Health Center is an outpatient geriatric care center for people 65 years of age and above. Our staff of physicians, nurses, geriatric technicians, social workers and gerontologists specialize in the healthcare needs of seniors and their families. The Trident Senior Health Center provides on-site:

Skilled Nursing Care

Many patients can benefit from Skilled Nursing Care as they progress to home and self-care after their inpatient hospitalization. They continue to need 24-hour nursing care to monitor treatment and procedures ordered by their physician, intensive physical/occupational and speech therapy.

The Trident Sleep Lab, a program of the 296-bed Trident Medical Center and the 94-bed Summerville Medical Center, is dedicated to diagnosing and treating sleep-related disorders, all of which directly affect an individual's daily lifestyle.
