Residency program director
Molly Thompson, Pharm D, BCPS
Molly Haselden Thompson, PharmD, BCPS is a Clinical Specialist of Clinical Operations at Trident Medical Center. She earned a BS in Biology from the College of Charleston and her PharmD from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy (SCCP) – MUSC Campus. Upon graduation, Dr. Thompson worked a year in community pharmacy, but quickly realized her passion for Clinical Pharmacy. She completed PGY1 training at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and then a PGY2 Internal Medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
After residency training, Dr. Thompson held Clinical Pharmacist positions at both MUSC and Trident Medical Center and became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. From 2015 to 2018, she was the Clinical Manager of the Trident Medical Center Pharmacy Department.
Dr. Thompson was involved in the initial design, development and accreditation of the Trident Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Program and served as the Residency Program Director from 2017-2019.
Dr. Thompson enjoys direct patient care and teaching the next generation of pharmacists. Specific interest areas include Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Patient Safety. Dr. Thompson spends her spare time enjoying Charleston with her husband, sons and French Bulldogs.
Residency program coordinators
Molly Bennett, PharmD, BCPS
Molly Bennett, PharmD, BCPS completed her Bachelor of Science at the College of Charleston and her PharmD at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013. She then completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in Nashville. Following residency, she became a VA ambulatory care clinical pharmacy specialist. She joined Trident Medical Center in 2016 as the Transitions of Care clinical pharmacist. In 2017, Molly moved into the Clinical Operations Specialist role. She splits her time between administrative functions (i.e., P&T Committee coordinator, medication safety) and clinical roles (i.e., decentralized and centralized inpatient pharmacy, outpatient heart failure clinic). She serves as a member of the Trident Medical Center Residency Advisory Committee and views precepting pharmacy students and residents as one of the most rewarding aspects of her work. In her spare time she enjoys reading, exercising, boating, and spending time with her husband, two young sons, and pup.
Avery Elizabeth Shawen, PharmD, BDIDP, BCPS
Avery Elizabeth Shawen, PharmD completed her Bachelor of Science at Clemson University in 2013 and her PharmD at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2017. She then completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency in June of 2018 as Trident’s very first pharmacy resident. Along with completion of her residency Avery also obtained her teaching certificate through the Academician Preparation Program through MUSC as well as her BCPS in December of 2018. She now works as a clinical pharmacist for Trident where she continues to foster her interests of mentoring pharmacy students and promoting the profession of pharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafting and spending time outdoors.

Lindsey Osterfeld Cashwell, PharmD, BCPS
Lindsey Osterfeld Cashwell, PharmD, BCPS completed her Bachelor of Science at the Florida State University in 2013 and her PharmD at the University of Florida in 2017. She then completed PGY1 pharmacy residency training at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida in June of 2018. Shortly after, she started at Trident Medical Center and obtained her BCPS in July of 2019. Lindsey enjoys working as part of an interdisciplinary team to improve patient care and mentoring students. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, and spending time with her husband and their Goldendoodle, Wyatt.
Mandy Walker Cebula, PharmD, BCPS
Mandy Walker Cebula completed her PharmD at the University of North Carolina. She then completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. Following residency, she first worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in Medical Intensive Care. She has also worked as an operating room pharmacist and has practiced in Trauma ICU and Neuro ICU. She eventually became a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, overseeing the clinical duties of a pharmacy department with approximately sixty pharmacists. She is now a clinical pharmacist at Trident Health, where she focuses on critical care and general medicine. Mandy has a passion for teaching and enjoys teaching pharmacy students, residents and other disciplines. In her spare time she enjoys boating, cooking, spending time with her family and working out.
Don Hisnanick, PharmD, BCPS
After graduation from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987, Don Hisnanick, PharmD, BCPS worked in Montefiore Hospital Pharmacy as a Staff Pharmacist until 1989. From 1989 to 1991 he worked in St Margaret’s Memorial Hospital as a Staff Pharmacist. He worked with Allan Shoughnessy, PharmD, as a data collector for a multicenter study involving Streptokinase vs TPA for acute MI. It was during this time that Dr. Shoughnessy encouraged him to pursue a PharmD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina where he had matriculated. After completing his PharmD and residency in Psychopharmacology in 1995, he worked in the MUSC Children’s Pharmacy until an opening became available as Pharmacy Director for Palmetto Low Country Behavioral Health. Because of a need to spend more time with family, he applied for a position at Trident Hospital as a decentralized pharmacist and chose to work on the Oncology Service, as he had previously worked on the Pediatric Oncology Service at the Medical University of South Carolina. He continues in this role today, covering chemotherapy infusion clinic.
Pamela Hourihan, PharmD
Pamela Hourihan, PharmD graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina in 2009 with the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She was a technician in the pharmacy at the first Publix in SC for 10 years before starting pharmacy school. She has worked in both the community and hospital settings during her career and is currently supervisor of the Medication Reconciliation program at Trident Medical Center. Pam also served as adjunct faculty for Trident Technical College, where she taught Medical Vocabulary. Pam has experience in different roles in the health system including in peri-operative services, clinical pharmacy, regulatory compliance and central operations. As supervisor of the Medication Reconciliation program she is able to integrate her love of patient interaction with her clinical practice. In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with her family.
Marina Capitanov, PharmD, BCPP
Marina Capitanov, PharmD, BCPP completed her PharmD at Ohio Northern University. She then completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Cleveland Clinic and PGY2 psychiatry pharmacy residency at the University of Michigan. After residency training, Marina started a behavioral health clinical pharmacist position at Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness and obtained her BCPP. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, taking her dog, Dasha, on walks (especially on the beach), traveling, and going to workout classes.
Ashley Byrd, PharmD, BCPS
Ashley Byrd, PharmD, BCPS completed her PharmD at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2021. She then completed PGY1 pharmacy residency training in 2022 at Trident Medical Center. Along with completion of her residency Ashley also obtained her teaching certificate through the Academician Preparation Program through MUSC. She completed her BCPS in December of 2023. She is now a clinical pharmacist at Trident Health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and being active outside.
Jessica Crane Sutton, PharmD, BCPS
Jessica Crane Sutton, PharmD, BCPS earned her PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2021. She then completed her PGY1 residency at the University of Florida Health-Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. In 2022, she returned to her hometown to start her career at Trident Medical Center. Jessica appreciates the diversity of her role and values the opportunity to collaborate with an interprofessional team. She also enjoys mentoring and helping to integrate residents into the team. In her free time she loves to travel, go fishing, and spend time with her dogs.
Nicole Parker, PharmD
Nicole Parker, PharmD is a Critical Care Advanced Clinical Pharmacist at Trident Medical Center. She completed her PharmD at the University of Kentucky in 2022 followed by a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Nicole joined the Trident Medical Center team shortly after graduation in 2024. She rotates between both critical care units and is passionate about antimicrobial stewardship and pain/sedation management. Nicole enjoys mentoring and precepting students and residents as well as interdisciplinary teaching. In her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies cuddled up with her animals.
Teresa Stanley, PharmD, BCPS
Teresa Diane Stanley, PharmD, BCPS completed her Associate of Science at Trident Technical College in 2003 and her PharmD at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007. She then completed a PGY1 residency at St. Patrick Hospital/University of Montana in Missoula, MT. Following residency, she became a clinical pharmacist for St. Patrick Hospital and obtained her BCPS in 2008. During her time with St. Patrick Hospital, she focused on medication safety, pain management and precepting students and residents. Teresa finished her time in Missoula as the MedSurg/Pain clinical pharmacist specialist. Upon returning to South Carolina, Teresa accepted a clinical pharmacist position with Trident Health in 2024 and is now a clinical operations specialist. She has a passion for pharmacy and teaching. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her godchildren and watching movies.
Corinne Corrigan, PharmD, BCPPS, CPPS, CPHQ
Corinne Corrigan, PharmD, BCPPS, CPPS, CPHQ has been serving as the Neonatal and Pediatric Clinical Specialist at Summerville Medical Center since 2024. She earned her PharmD from the University of Georgia in 2008 and completed her PGY-1 training at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
After residency, Corinne worked as a clinical pharmacist serving neonatal and women patients. During her time at UAB, she became a Neonatal Critical Care Specialty Practitioner and also precepted many students and residents. In 2012, she moved to Charleston, SC where she worked as a clinical pharmacist at MUSC Children’s Hospital serving neonatal, pediatric and women’s populations while precepting students and residents. Corinne earned her board certification in pediatric pharmacotherapy in 2015. In 2017, she transitioned roles and became the children’s and women’s quality and safety manager and worked with all healthcare disciplines to improve the quality of care provided while continuing to work as a clinical pharmacist. Corinne went on to work as a consultant for the perinatal population nationwide in 2022 with Premier, Inc and Health and Human Services (HHS) before joining the Summerville team.
Corinne has a passion for improving care, mentoring the next generation of healthcare team members and serving the children and women of our community. In her spare time, she enjoys being active outside and spending time with her friends, husband, daughter and dog, Dolly the Doodle.
Patricya Miller, Pharm.D, BCPS, BCCCP, SIDP
Patricya Miller, Pharm.D, BCPS, BCCCP, SIDP is a critical care pharmacist at Trident Medical Center. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy; Biochemistry Specialization; and Pharmacodynamic and Pharmacokinetic Post-Graduation in Brazil. In Brazil, she worked in research and enjoyed the development of new drugs. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She worked as a clinical pharmacist for Baylor Scott and White for many years before transitioning to Plano Medical Center where she started her critical care career. She practiced as a critical care pharmacist for Frisco and Denton Texas Health Resources hospitals before moving to Charleston, SC. She is passionate about Pharmacy and student development. She loves to teach and learn. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and traveling with her family.
