Inpatient care
Live Oak is an 84-bed, freestanding psychiatric facility that provides comprehensive inpatient mental health services for people ages 12 and older. Our programs are supported by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, behavioral health specialists and nurses who address a wide range of mental health conditions. Group therapy serves as the primary mode of treatment complemented by 24/7 monitoring and an array of evidence-based therapeutic treatments, including:
- Activity therapy
- Cognitive therapy
- Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
- Family counseling
- Individualized treatment planning
- Pet therapy
- Relaxation techniques
Outpatient programs
We offer several services for adults and adolescents that provide structured therapy at our facility while allowing you to return home. Our outpatient programs are designed to deliver the level of care that best suits your diagnosis. Your treatments may include elements of the following:
- Anger management training
- Cognitive therapy
- Communication skills development
- Coping skills education
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Goal setting training
- Interpersonal skills development
- Medication education

- Partial hospitalization program (PHP)
PHP offers structured, supportive care in a hospital-based setting with sessions held Monday-Friday from 9:30am-3:30pm. The program is designed to help individuals 18 and older work through challenges, strengthen coping skills, find stability and build the tools needed to avoid hospitalization. - Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
IOP is a less intensive program designed to help individuals 12 and older work through challenges, strengthen coping skills, find stability and build the tools needed to avoid hospitalization. The three-hour group sessions are available during morning or afternoon hours to accommodate your schedule – there is even an afternoon virtual option for adults. - Substance abuse and recovery treatment
The goal of our substance use/Co-occurring IOP is to empower individuals 18 and older to develop effective strategies that will help them achieve and maintain sobriety through learning new ways to cope with addiction. Our IOP involves three-hour group sessions four days per week, uses a nationally recognized treatment model and encourages active participation. Our program is geared toward treating situational stressors and helping to facilitate recovery.
Recovery resources and support
Your psychiatric care team works with you and your family to prepare for your transition home. Specialists provide educational sessions for your loved ones and caregivers so they understand your condition and can help provide support for your ongoing recovery. We also provide resources and support, if needed, so that you can reach your behavioral and emotional health goals.
